Chaeyoung almost left TWICE? Idol shares inner turmoil, struggles of idol life

Chaeyoung is one of the youngest members of the K-pop girl group TWICE. Recently, the idol delved into her life as a celebrity. She talked about the struggles and hardships she has had to go through over the past years since her debut and even revealed a shocking anecdote as well.

Chaeyoung wanted to leave TWICE

While sitting down for a podcast interview with SPNS TV, the idol delved into the struggles of a celebrity. The singer revealed that one of the hardest parts of her career was not getting enough sleep. She shared that when they were rookies, all of the members used to be so busy at them and would not be able to sleep properly. She added that she herself only slept an hour a day, and at best 2-3 hours a day back then due to their schedules.

Other than that, she also shared that when the group released ‘Cheer Up’ and ‘TT’, she had to balance school as well as her life as an idol, which also took a toll on her health. All of this made life extremely hard for the idol, to the point where she kept wondering about whether she should continue or not. She revealed that she used to keep saying that she was not going to be able to go on. “I was like, ‘I can’t do this,’” she added.

The only thing that kept her going was her mother’s words about the matter. At the time, she revealed that she used to fight a lot with her mother. She revealed that her mom one day came to her, “My mom said, ‘Isn’t it a waste that you trained so hard for three and a half years and now you’re not even doing anything?’”

She revealed that despite almost leaving the group, she pushed through and persevered, and is now a part of one of the biggest girl groups across the globe.
