Ben Affleck has reportedly transferred his entire ownership stake in a Beverly Hills mansion to Jennifer Lopez. This move marks a notable change in the property arrangements between the former actor couple amid their ongoing divorce proceedings.
As per a TMZ report, the $60 million property was purchased by Affleck and Lopez in May 2023. Since July 2024, they have been trying to sell the mansion, but Affleck has now handed over his interest in the house to Lopez without any charge.
Property settlement amid divorce proceedings
According to court documents obtained by the news portal, the couple modified their property settlement agreement to reflect the transfer of the mansion between spouses. The asking price for the property was initially $68 million, later reduced to $58 million before Affleck gave his share to Lopez.
Lopez has been living in the mansion while renovating another property. Affleck’s recent sale of his AI company to Netflix for a reported $600 million may have influenced his decision to transfer ownership.
Since the split, Affleck has moved to a $20 million mansion in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Lopez has focused on her family, including her twins with singer Marc Anthony.
Lopez opens up about emotional toll
Lopez spoke about the emotional toll of their separation in a March 2025 interview with Good Morning America. “I took a year off. I just stayed home and faced what happened without distracting myself. No work, no new relationships — just time to sit with it,” she said, highlighting the importance she placed on reflection and healing during the difficult period.
“I was just at a point where I was like, ‘What is going on with you?’ Because I couldn’t blame anybody else,” she added.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez first met in 2002 and dated for two years before splitting in 2004. They rekindled their romance in 2021 and married, but filed for divorce in early 2025. Lopez filed without an attorney on their second wedding anniversary.
