Leonid Radvinsky dies after battle with cancer: All you need to know about OnlyFans owner’s net worth, family and career

From Odesa in Ukraine to Chicago, United States, the reclusive owner of OnlyFans, Leonid Radvinsky, leaves behind an impressive legacy, turning around the adult content platform into a billion-dollar business. On Monday, his company announced Radvinsky had passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer, aged 43.

“We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky. Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer. His family have requested privacy at this difficult time,” the London-based online pornography platform informed in an emailed statement, according to Bloomberg.

Who is Leonid Radvinsy: About the reclusive, billionaire owner of OnlyFans

Radvinsky bought a majority stake in OnlyFans in 2018 from its original British father-and-son founders Guy and Tim Stokely. The duo had founded the website in 2016, but it was Radvinsky who turned it around and made OnlyFans a cultural phenomenon.

Today, the business is the leader in the online pornography industry. He did so by allowing creators to charge directly for their content through subscriptions. The company in turn charges 20% commission on sales and subscription fees. Today the site has over 300 million users and generates over $1 billion in revenue, according to a Reuters report.

Notably, Radvinsky’s death leaves questions over the future of OnlyFans and who now owns it. His stake in Fenix is held by the LR Fenix Trust since 2024, the Reuters report said.

However, in January, it was reported that OnlyFans was exploring a majority 60% stake sale to San Francisco-based investment firm Architect Capital. The deal would potentially value the company at about $5.5 billion, the Bloomberg report added.

Radvinsky also ran a 2009-founded venture capital fund with interests in technology companies

What was Leonid Radvinsky’s net worth?

Radvinsky’s fortune rocketed with OnlyFan’s popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic. He first entered the Forbes billionaire list in 2021. At the time of his death, he had more than doubled his net worth to $4.7 billion by March 2026, according to Forbes.

OnlyFans in 2024 reported more than 4.6 million creator accounts, some 377 million fans, and revenue of $1.4 billion. Radvinsky had paid himself about $1.8 billion in dividends from the platform since 2021, the Bloomberg report added.

Leonid Radvinsky’s origins: From Ukraine to Chicago

Born in the Ukrainian port city of Odesa, Radvinsky’s family moved to Chicago when he was a child. He was Jewish. Radvinsky is survived by his spouse, Katie Chudnovsky and their four children.

In 2002, he graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in economics. According to his website, the founder lived most recently in Florida.

OnlyFans said Radvinsky, who has given few public interviews and statements, had supported “several philanthropic projects globally.” According to his website, Radvinsky has donated to charities including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, open-source initiatives and the West Suburban Humane Society.
