Yamaha XSR 155 prices hiked: Here’s by how much

Yamaha Motor India has increased the prices of the Yamaha XSR 155 motorcycle. The price hike comes in little over three months after introducing the motorcycle in the Indian market. The motorcycle remains available in a single trim level, but the revised pricing now varies based on the chosen colour scheme.

In addition to the price change, Yamaha has introduced a new Metallic Black finish, expanding the overall palette. With this addition, the XSR 155 is now offered in a total of five colour options. The new Metallic Black colour option for the XSR 155 is priced at Rs 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Like the Metallic Blue variant, it features a gold-finished USD front fork.

Yamaha has revised prices of select XSR 155 colour variants, with the Greyish Green Metallic recording the highest increase of Rs 9,000. It now joins the newly introduced Metallic Black at the top of the range. The Metallic Grey variant has become costlier by Rs 7,000 and is priced at Rs 1.57 lakh, while the Vivid Red version has seen a Rs 3,000 hike and now costs Rs 1.53 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

The XSR 155 is built on the same platform as the Yamaha R15 and MT-15. It is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 18.1 bhp and 14 Nm of torque, paired to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. Optional Cafe Racer and Scrambler kits are available at an additional cost. At the time of launch, the XSR 155 was offered at a uniform price of Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) across all colour choices. After the recent revision, the Metallic Blue variant continues at the same price, making it the most accessible option in the lineup.
