The

Volkswagen Tayron R-Line can be seen as a stretched, seven-seat derivative of the Tiguan R-Line, with larger overall dimensions to make room for a third row of seats. Up front, its design closely mirrors the Tiguan R-Line, though a subtly revised grille helps set it apart. The illuminated Volkswagen emblem, paired with a full-width LED light bar, adds a distinct visual identity, while the bumper is largely finished in gloss black for a sportier appearance.

From the side, the Tayron’s longer silhouette clearly signals its three-row layout. It rides on 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels similar to those on the Tiguan R-Line, which fill the wheel arches well, complemented by slim gloss black cladding.

Smaller styling touches include an R badge on the front doors and chrome accents around the window line, adding a premium touch. At the rear, the Tayron R-Line again looks very simple compared to the Tiguan R-Line and follows a clean and modern design approach. The standout feature is the connected LED tail-lamp setup with pixel-style lighting elements, giving the SUV a distinctive night-time signature. The bumper, finished in gloss black, mirrors the treatment seen at the front, tying the overall design together.

Moving inside, again, the interior too is very similar to the Tiguan R-line and features a large 15-inch touchscreen that is angled towards the driver and controls most of the vehicle’s key functions. While the leather-appointed front seats retain the massage function seen on the Tiguan R-Line, the Tayron replaces seat heating with front-seat ventilation, a feature better suited to Indian conditions. Other highlights include a fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, customisable ambient lighting with up to 30 colour options, and Matrix LED lighting technology.

In terms of practicality, the SUV offers up to 850 litres of boot space with the third row folded down.
