2026 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross: Variant-wise features with price explained

Isuzu Motors India recently launched the updated Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pick-up truck in the Indian market. The 2026 update brings minor cosmetic tweaks and an expanded equipment list, while also dropping the 4×2 option from the D-Max V-Cross lineup. With the 4×4 drivetrain now offered as standard, the entry-level variant has become Rs 1. 23 lakh more expensive than before. At the top end, the D-Max V-Cross Z Prestige Premium 4×4 AT sees a price increase of Rs 63,000.

On the exterior, the pickup features black grille surrounds, while the fog lamp housings are now largely body-coloured. The earlier black cladding and silver skid plate on the lower bumper have been replaced with a body-coloured finish.

Along the sides, the wheel arch cladding has been removed, and the Z Prestige variant now rides on new 18-inch 12-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels. The outside rearview mirrors feature slimmer LED turn indicators. At the rear, the only change is the replacement of the chrome bumper trim with gloss-black plastic. The D-Max V-Cross continues to be offered in two main trim levels, Z and Z Prestige. Each trim is available in ‘Standard’ and ‘Premium’ variants, although Isuzu has not detailed the differences between them. Let’s take a look at variant-wise features.

The Z trim is equipped with 2 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill descent control, Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Brake Override System (BOS), front seatbelt pre-tensioners with load limiters, 3-point seatbelts and occupant detectors for all seats, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear defogger, transfer case protector, shift-on-fly 4WD with high torque mode, auto-locking differential, 18-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 4-speaker sound system, idle stop-start, passive entry and start system, adjustable headrests, a 6-way manually adjustable driver’s seat, a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls, automatic climate control, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs, a 60:40 split rear seat, 12V/120W power outlets, USB Type-C and Type-A charging ports, a powered driver window with auto up/down, a full-sized spare wheel, LED indicators in the ORVM housings and body-coloured door handles.

Over the Z variant, the top-spec Z prestige variant adds a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), blind-spot monitor, a 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker sound system, 360-degree camera, front and rear powered windows with auto up/down and anti-pinch, a full-sized alloy spare wheel, fog lamps, roof rails, side rails, 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles, a 6-speaker surround sound system, shark-fin antenna and piano black interior trim. Automatic variants further get 6 airbags, hill start assist, a 6-way powered driver’s seat, cruise control, leatherette-accented seats, an 8-speaker surround sound system and a DEF level indicator.

The pickup continues with the same 1.9-litre diesel engine producing 163hp and 360Nm, paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. However, the model is now offered only with a 4×4 configuration. An auto-locking differential has also been made standard across all variants to enhance off-road capability.
