Wedding of ‘VIROSH’: 5 things Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna bond over beyond cinema

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are finally set to do their pheras and begin their happily-ever-after journey. As speculations hit an all-time high, the rumored couple confirmed their relationship. In a heartfelt note, the couple announced, “Our Dearest loves, Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves, you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today — with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it — ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’. Thank you for holding us with so much love. You are a part of us — always. Biggest hugs and full love! (sic)”

From co-stars to companions, Vijay Deverakonda and

Rashmika Mandanna’s journey has gone far beyond films and the box office. As the couple is set to tie the knot, let’s take a look at the real-life threads that bind them together, beyond their love for cinema.

A shared love for food

If there’s one thing that brings people together faster than romance, it’s food! And for Vijay and Rashmika, it’s a love language. “Food makes me happy,” Vijay Deverakonda said in 2020, as he went on a full-on French gastronomy experience. From eggs Benedict to authentic biryani, he is an unapologetic foodie. Vijay is the kind of person who believes there is nothing a biryani can’t fix, even while recovering from an accident.

In October 2025, as the actor met with an accident, he told his fans, “My head hurts, but nothing a biryani and sleep will not fix. “Rashmika Mandanna, on the other hand, is just as obsessed with food like Vijay. From simple home-cooked meals to fancy dining, she enjoys it all. “Good Food – god! I really wonder how I am the way I am (fitness wise) even after eating all that I eat. Thank you god! For the age and the metabolism,” the ‘Pushpa 2’ actress once said. While her cheat days are more of a food coma. “You know, on my cheat days I always have to order desserts first before actually my main meal, ok… and a lot of my friends find this super weird… so I just wanted to understand.. if this is just me or anyone of you also do this…” Rashmika once asked, and we completely agree!

Fitness as a way of living

Vijay and Rashmika not only share great on-screen chemistry, but also a discipline for staying fit. Fitness is not just about looking good for the star couple, but a way of life. “No matter where, no matter how, no matter in what state… I will always find a way to work out,” Rashmika once said.

Vijay Deverakonda is a fitness enthusiast. Just like his wife-to-be, Rashmika Mandanna, he trains like a beast. Last year, Vijay Deverakonda gave us a sneak peek of ‘a day in his life’. And guess what? He hits the gym at 7 a. m. From weight training to functional exercises, his fitness regime is certainly not for the faint of heart.

Wanderlust souls

The couple very much believes in the fact that ‘The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.’ Whether it’s a quiet getaway away from the arc lights or an adventurous escape, the couple finds time for travel, despite their demanding schedules. From historic cities like Rome to the pristine beaches of the Maldives, they never miss a chance to unleash their wanderlust souls.

Pet parents first

They are incredible pet parents. Animals hold a special place in both their hearts. Vijay Deverakonda often shares glimpses of his pet dogs Chester and Storm. They certainly have his heart!

You will also find Rashmika Mandanna cuddling with her pet dog Aura, and a pet cat Snow. The easiest way to her heart is getting into the good books of her babies! “It’s magical how attuned we are to each other. Much more than just a pet, she’s my baby and my world! Thank you for being the reason for my smiles, my sunshine,” she once said. From movie sets to vacations, they accompany them almost everywhere.

Middle-class upbringing

Perhaps the most meaningful connection that VIROSH shares is their middle-class roots. Earlier in a conversation with Neha Dhupia, Rashmika Mandanna spoke about her friendship with Vijay Deverakonda. “Best thing would be that we all come from a very middle-class family background. So, our thinking and our perspectives are very alike. That’s just being real, and it’s easy,” she said. Their humble beginnings also play a crucial role in their lives. As VIROSH is set to exchange vows, their fans, another common factor they share, are sending blessings with full hearts. The couple is finally set to tie the knot in an intimate wedding held at Udaipur’s luxe hotel on February 26, and if their shared values and passions are anything to go by, this is truly a match made for forever.
