Donald Trump re-enters Warner Brothers acquisition battle with a warning for Netflix: Fire your …

US President Donald Trump has re-entered the high-stakes battle for Warner Bros Discovery, demanding that Netflix fire former Democratic national security official Susan Rice from its board or face “consequences”. The warning comes after he previously stated that he would stay out of the bidding war between Netflix and Paramount Skydance to acquire the Hollywood studio.

“Netflix should fire racist, Trump Deranged Susan Rice, IMMEDIATELY, or pay the consequences. She’s got no talent or skills — Purely a political hack!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, reposting an X post by MAGA influencer Laura Loomer urging him to “kill the Netflix-Warner Bros.

merger now”.

Trump added: “HER POWER IS GONE, AND WILL NEVER BE BACK. How much is she being paid, and for what???”

Who is Susan Rice is and why she is under fire

Rice served as national security adviser and US ambassador to the United Nations under President Barack Obama. She also sat on President Joe Biden’s domestic policy council. Rice first joined Netflix’s board in 2018, served until 2020, and was reappointed in 2023.

The President’s intervention came at the urging of Loomer, who has no formal role in the administration but previously convinced Trump to purge US national security officials early last year, according to a report by The Financial Times.

In a lengthy social media post on Saturday (February 21), Loomer questioned whether Netflix stands by a board member “threatening half of the country with weaponized government and political retribution.”

This is as anti-American as it gets, and Netflix is proving everyday they are an anti-American, WOKE company. Rice is basically openly saying that Democrats will go after anyone and everyone who supported President Trump, embracing weaponized lawfare against potentially millions of Americans.

Making this more horrifying is the fact that if the Netflix-Warner Bros. merger is approved, positive messaging of the Democrats’ upcoming witch hunts against Trump from Barack Hussein Obama @BarackObama and his anti-White racist wife Michelle @MichelleObama would likely be blasted across all streaming services as the Obamas’ Higher Ground Productions continues to grow within Netflix.

The Netflix-Warner Bros. merger would result in a streaming monopoly, which the Obamas will have a significant stake in.

The controversy stems from remarks Rice made on former US Attorney Preet Bharara’s podcast last week. She warned that companies “take a knee to Trump” would face consequences if Democrats regain power in Washington.

“It would not end well. They are going to be caught with more than their pants down,” Rice said. She predicted Democrats would bring “an accountability agenda” and advised companies to “preserve their documents” and “be ready for subpoenas.”

“If these corporations think that Democrats, when they come back in power, are going to play by the old rules… I think they’ve got another thing coming,” Rice added.

Warner Bros Discovery reopened sale talks with Paramount this week, giving David Ellison’s media group until Monday (February 23) to make its “best and final” bid to top Netflix’s agreed $83bn takeover or end its pursuit of the studio.
