From Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz to George Russell: Latest romance updates from F1 grid

Formula One drivers got a well-earned break to spend quality time with their girlfriends after the season ended in Abu Dhabi in December. While Max Verstappen spent time with Kelly Piquet and their daughters in Brazil, George Russell headed to the Alps for a romantic getaway. Charles Leclerc also spent time with girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux, who even flew with him to Bahrain for testing. Here’s an update on how the F1 stars have been faring in their romantic lives.

How F1 stars are spending their off-season with their partners

The F1 drivers rang in the New Year with their families, including their girlfriends, and shared glimpses of their celebrations on social media. Charles Leclerc recently posted several pictures from his chartered flight to Bahrain with two of his favorite companions, Alexandra Saint Mleux and his pet dog Leo, as they enjoyed the midair vibes. “Bahrain, here we are,” he wrote ahead of testing.

Max Verstappen has multiple interests outside of F1, but he spent much of his break with Kelly Piquet, their infant daughter Lily, and Piquet’s daughter Penelope. The family traveled to Brazil, where Piquet grew up, to enjoy some quality time and introduce Lily to the ocean. The couple also celebrated Valentine’s Day with a short romantic trip to Florence.

Carlos Sainz has largely kept his love life private, but he offered fans a rare glimpse of his girlfriend last month.

He shared a photo with Rebecca Donaldson at the end of a carousel post on Instagram, which was enough to delight fans of the couple.

George Russell and Carmen Montero Mundt turn 28 in same month

George Russell is dating Carmen Montero Mundt, who, unlike some other WAGs, is not a model. She works in the education sector and recently shared glimpses from Russell’s 28th birthday celebrations. She also turned 28 a few days before him, and their regular social media updates, from yacht outings to vacations, show they are going strong together.

The F1 drivers are currently testing their cars in Bahrain ahead of the season opener in Melbourne. The 2026 season will begin with the Australian Grand Prix on March 8.
