Mrunal Thakur recalls ex-boyfriend’s insecurity over Hrithik Roshan amid marriage rumours with Dhanush: ‘I never asked him to lose weight’

Even as marriage rumours with Dhanush refuse to die down, Mrunal Thakur has chosen to speak instead about insecurities in relationships — and a past experience that left her surprised.

While promoting her upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein, the actress appeared on Raunaq Rajani’s YouTube channel and candidly discussed how insecurity can quietly creep into relationships.

Mrunal admitted that she prefers addressing concerns directly with her partner, but revealed that an ex-boyfriend once struggled deeply with his own doubts — especially during the time she was shooting Super 30 with Hrithik Roshan.

“He started working out, lost 15-17 kgs”

Opening up about the episode, she shared, “So this guy, who was a Scandinavian, he thought that I was hanging around and shooting with a lot of men who were good-looking, like Hrithik Roshan. So he started working out, lost like 15-17 kgs, and he got muscles. ”

What puzzled her, however, was the drastic shift that followed.

“Later, I found out, because there was a point he just stopped working out and started eating and gained 20 kgs. And I was like what’s happening? And he told me, ‘I’m just tired catching up.’”

Mrunal emphasised that the pressure was never from her side. “But I was like, I never asked him to lose weight, but it was his insecurity that I was hanging around with such good-looking men.”

Rumours, appearances and speculation

Speculation about Mrunal and Dhanush’s equation began last year, though neither of them has officially confirmed a relationship.

Buzz first intensified when Mrunal attended the wrap-up party of Dhanush’s film Tere Ishk Mein. Later, in August, videos and pictures of her greeting the Tamil star at the premiere of Son of Sardaar 2 — where they shared a warm hug — added fuel to the rumours.

For now, Mrunal has maintained a clear stand: whenever she decides to get married, she will announce it herself.
