WhatsApp Business app gets ‘Liquid Glass’ Design on iOS

WhatsApp has reportedly started rolling out its new Liquid Glass interface for the Business app on iOS. As reported by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp Business is giving users a refreshed designed which aligns with Apple’s latest iOS 26 visual style. As per the report, the update brings translucent elements, layered effects and dynamic transparency to the app. The report further adds that the feature is presently available to some select users. The complete roll out is expected to come to more users in the coming weeks.

What’s new in the Liquid Glass design of WhatsApp Business

As per the WABetaInfo report, the new Liquid Glass design of WhatsApp Business includes a tab bar which consists of the floating UI elements of the app.

The bar is translucent and comes with opaque effect. This enable the content behind the bar to show up subtly offering a dynamic look and feel to the UI.

“To prevent the app from adopting the Liquid Glass design, WhatsApp has limited the availability to select users. This means that those not included in the Liquid Glass release continue to see the traditional keyboard when typing their messages. Instead, users in the release group get a refreshed typing experience that matches Apple’s Liquid Glass look.

The keyboard is semi-translucent that subtly blends with the chat background and reflects elements behind it,” adds the report.

Liquid Glass also offers a new experience with buttons. Buttons across the business app have been updated to match the Liquid Glass look in iOS 26. The app presents buttons with a frosted, layered glass effect that subtly reflects and refracts the background. Tapping them triggers smooth, responsive animations, making interactions feel definitely more modern.
