Elon Musk Claps Back at Vinod Khosla Over ‘White People’ Comment

Elon Musk Hits Back at Vinod Khosla’s ‘White Men Over 70’ Remark

Elon Musk has called out venture capitalist Vinod Khosla for his comments about not voting for “any white man over 70,” labeling the statement as racist and countering with a personal connection to India.

The Exchange on X

Vinod Khosla, founder of Khosla Ventures, posted on X:

“I won’t vote for any white man over 70. We need to have a national age limit of 60 and retirement from public service at 70.”

Elon Musk, 52, replied succinctly:

“This is racist.”

Khosla’s Clarification

Khosla defended his position, stating he was advocating for diversity. He said:

“I am not racist. I am against old white men running the country. I am for diversity of age, gender, race, experience. I am for term limits and age limits. I am for more women, more young people, more people of color, more immigrants in public service.”

Musk’s Personal Rebuttal

Unconvinced, Musk offered a personal rebuttal:

“My partner is half Indian & our son’s middle name is Sekhar.”

Musk’s Family Connection to India

Musk is in a relationship with Shivon Zilis, a Canadian venture capitalist and Neuralink project director. The couple had twins in 2021. Zilis’s mother is Indian.

They also have a son named Strider, whose middle name is Sekhar—a common Indian name.
