Victim Lured Under False Pretence

The victim, identified as Paltu Sheikh, was found dead on Thursday. His family has accused a local man, Shahin Sheikh, and his associates of the crime, linking it to an ongoing land dispute.

According to the victim’s brother, Paltu was tricked into going to the garage. He was promised a discussion to settle the dispute but was instead locked inside before the garage was set on fire.

“My brother was called to the garage by Shahin Sheikh to settle the dispute. When he went there, Shahin and his associates locked him inside and set the garage on fire,” the brother told news agency PTI.
