Punjab Launches Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna: Rs 10 Lakh Cashless Treatment for All Families
The Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab has rolled out the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, a landmark health insurance scheme guaranteeing cashless medical treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh for every family in the state. The initiative is set to benefit approximately 1.5 crore families.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the scheme’s implementation via social media platform X.
“Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna has been implemented in Punjab. Under this scheme, every family in Punjab will get cashless treatment up to Rs 10 lakh. This scheme will benefit 1.5 crore families of Punjab,” Mann said in a post on X.
He elaborated that the scheme would cover a wide range of medical conditions and be accessible through a vast hospital network.
“This scheme will cover 1000 types of diseases and 1500 types of packages. This scheme will be applicable in 1000 hospitals of Punjab,” he said.

The Chief Minister positioned the scheme as a transformative step for Punjab’s healthcare, aimed at providing financial security and improving access to quality medical services.

The government has framed the policy as a significant gift to the people, particularly the poor and needy, marking a new dawn for public health in the state.
“This scheme will be a gift to the people of Punjab from the state government… This scheme will be a boon for the poor and needy people of Punjab… a step towards making Punjab a healthy and prosperous state,” he added.
