Goa Partners With Elon Musk’s Starlink For Better Internet & Disaster Response
The Goa government has entered a strategic partnership with Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet service. The move aims to boost digital connectivity in remote areas and strengthen the state’s disaster resilience infrastructure.
Key Focus Areas of the Partnership
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant outlined the collaboration’s primary goals:
- High-Speed Internet for Remote Areas: Providing low-latency, high-speed connectivity to Goa’s rural and remote regions to ensure digital access for all citizens.
- Enhanced Disaster Management: Bolstering reliable communication networks during emergencies like natural disasters, ensuring uninterrupted coordination for response teams.
“This partnership will also bolster our disaster management capabilities by ensuring reliable communication networks during emergencies and natural disasters,” Sawant said in a post on X.
The Chief Minister stated that this initiative is a key step towards realizing the state’s vision of a and resilient Goa.
