The new flagship will compete directly with upcoming devices like the iQOO 15, Realme GT 8 Pro, Vivo X300 series, and Oppo Find X9 lineup in the premium smartphone segment.

India Launch Timeline

OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will be the first device in India powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The Indian launch is expected by mid-November 2024, approximately a month and a half earlier than the brand’s usual launch schedule.

Display and Performance

The OnePlus 15 features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. While this represents a step down from the 2K panel used in its predecessor, it maintains excellent visual quality with power-efficient technology.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with Adreno 840 GPU, the device supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for flagship-level performance.

Camera System

The camera setup includes a triple 50MP system:

  • 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor
  • 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom
  • 50MP Samsung OV50D ultra-wide angle lens

The front camera features a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor with autofocus support. Video recording capabilities include 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps from the rear cameras, while the front camera can record 4K video at 60fps.

Pricing and Variants

The Chinese pricing for OnePlus 15 starts at:

  • 12GB/256GB: CNY 3,999 (approx ₹49,259)
  • 16GB/256GB: CNY 4,299 (approx ₹52,982)
  • 12GB/512GB: CNY 4,599 (approx ₹56,704)
  • 16GB/512GB: CNY 4,899 (approx ₹60,427)
  • 16GB/1TB: CNY 5,399 (approx ₹66,590)

Note that Indian pricing will likely differ from Chinese pricing. Last year’s base variant was priced at CNY 4,499 in China but launched at ₹69,990 in India.

Design and Colors

The OnePlus 15 comes in three color options: Absolute Black, Misty Purple, and Sand Dune. The Sand Dune variant weighs 211g, while the other two colors weigh 215g.
