Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi A7 Pro 5G in India, with the company officially confirming the launch date as April 13. Ahead of the debut, the Chinese smartphone maker has updated a microsite, revealing the device’s design and key specifications. The handset will feature a large battery, software upgrades, and AI integration. Notably, the Redmi A7 Pro 4G was launched globally on April 1, ahead of its India arrival.
Redmi A7 Pro specs and features
The Redmi A7 Pro is set to feature a 6.9-inch display. On the performance front, the smartphone is teased to be powered by an octa-core 5G processor. The company has confirmed that the device will run on Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The microsite reveals that it will come with several AI features, including Google’s Circle to Search and a built-in Gemini voice assistant, among others.
For Photography, the Redmi A7 Pro sports a 32-megapixel dual AI back camera setup. To fuel the device, a 6,300mAh battery is packed inside the smartphone.
Design-wise, the Redmi A7 Pro 5G features a flat frame and a pill-shaped rear camera module housing two cutouts for the cameras, with the LED flash positioned outside the module. The “REDMI 5G” branding is placed at the bottom-left of the back panel. On the front, the device sports a waterdrop notch that houses the selfie camera.
More details about the Redmi A7 Pro have not been revealed yet. As the April 13 launch date approaches, we can expect additional information about the device to surface online. The Redmi A7 Pro 4G features a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits brightness.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T7250 chipset, paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. It also runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3.
In terms of the camera, the 4G variant of Redmi A7 Pro has a 13-megapixel primary camera paired with an unspecified secondary sensor. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
The Redmi A7 Pro carries a 6,000mAh battery with 15W wired charging support.
