Meta Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses Price: Meta Platforms has launched two prescription-based smart glasses, expanding its presence in one of the few areas where AI gadgets have seen real success. The glasses also come in new colour options and are part of the company’s Ray-Ban smart glasses lineup. These AI-powered wearables are designed for users who need prescription lenses, making them suitable for everyday use.
Meta is also adding new features that allow the glasses to analyze what you see, estimate calories, summarize messages from apps like WhatsApp, and offer real-time assistance through built-in AI.
Meta-AI Powered Smart Glass: Design and colour options
The new smart glasses arrive in two distinct personalities. Blayer steps in with a sharp, rectangular frame available in multiple sizes, while Scriber offers a softer, round design that feels more relaxed and expressive. Both models are built to adapt to you, with customisable nose pads, flexible hinges and adjustable temple tips, allowing each pair to be fine-tuned for a truly personal fit.
The AI-powered smart glasses come in colour options that include matte black, transparent matte ice gray and transparent stone beige. There is also a dark brown charging carrying case for the new lineup.
Meta-AI Powered Smart Glass: Features
Meta is making its smart glasses more useful with a new AI-powered update. The glasses can now analyze what you see through the camera. You can log meals by simply looking at your food or taking a quick photo, and the system will estimate calories and track your intake over time. Messaging has also improved.
The glasses can summarize incoming messages, including those from WhatsApp, and let you reply using voice commands like, “Hey Meta, catch me up on my messages,” to get a quick update. Meta says these voice interactions are processed on the device and are end-to-end encrypted. The features will first roll out to early access users of Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, and Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses.
The glasses now support Instagram Reels, making it easier to watch short videos. There is also a personalized Spotify shortcut below the media player, giving quick access to your recently played songs and playlists. Meanwhile, Meta has added two new games, the puzzle game 2048 and the platform game GOAT. You can play them directly on the glasses using the Meta Neural Band for controls.
The update also introduces new widgets for Reminders, Weather, Stocks and Calendar on the home screen. There is also a new Calendar app that connects with Google Calendar and Outlook, allowing you to easily view and manage your schedule privately.
Meta-AI Powered Smart Glass: Price and availability
Meta is setting the stage with a starting price of $499 for these smart glasses. Pre-orders will open in the United States through the Ray-Ban and Meta websites, giving early buyers a first look. From April 14, the glasses will be available more widely across the US and select international markets, marking their next step into everyday life.
