Realme 16 5G launched in India, it has selfie mirror and price starts at Rs 31,999

Realme has introduced the Realme 16 5G in India. The smartphone stands out with a unique “selfie mirror” on the rear, designed to help users take selfies using the main camera. After debuting in Vietnam and select global markets, the device has now arrived in India in two colour options. It features a 7,000mAh battery and a 6.57-inch AMOLED display. The smartphone will go on sale starting April 5 via Flipkart.

Realme 16 specs and features

The Realme 16 5G features a 6.57-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,200 nits peak brightness.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The Realme 16 runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 on top. The company promises four years of security updates and three Android OS upgrades.

In terms of optics, the Realme 16 features a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. The rear camera module also includes a small mirror, which the brand calls a “selfie mirror,” designed to help users preview shots while taking selfies with the rear camera. On the front, the device has a 50-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

The Realme 16 5G is equipped with a 7,000mAh battery that supports 60W wired fast charging as well as reverse charging. The battery is rated to endure up to 1,600 charging cycles and is claimed to offer up to 142 hours of music playback on a single charge.

The device is equipped with a vapour chamber cooling system featuring a 6,050mm sq heat dissipation area. It also comes with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. The Realme 16 is equipped with an official facial recognition system and carries an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

Realme 16 5G price and availability

The Realme 16’s base model, with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, costs Rs. 31,999. The mid-tier, 8GB RAM and 256GB Storage for Rs 33,999 and the top-of-the-line variant, 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, comes in Rs 36,999.

Offer-wise, Realme is offering no-cost EMI options for up to 12 months, and buyers can also avail an instant bank-based discount of Rs 2,000 or a Rs 6,000 exchange bonus.

The Realme 16 goes on sale from April 5 via Flipkart and Realme’s online store in two colourways: Air Black and Air White.
