Oppo starts teasing Pad Mini launch, here is everything we know about it

Oppo looks set to have a busy April, with a range of product launches lined up. The schedule is expected to begin with the Oppo Nord 6 on April 7, followed by the brand’s highly anticipated camera-focused flagships — the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Oppo Find X9s Pro — which are reportedly set to debut around April 20. The company is also tipped to introduce two flagship-grade tablets — the Oppo Pad 5 Pro and the Oppo Pad Mini. Speculation suggests that these tablets could be unveiled at the same event as the flagship smartphones.

Oppo Pad Mini Design, specs, features and colours

Recently, Oppo’s Director of Smart Ecosystem Products, Qiao Jiadong, shared a short video on Douyin, teasing the Oppo Pad Mini. Although the clip did not reveal detailed specifications, it highlighted the Pad Mini’s slim and lightweight design, while suggesting that performance remains a key focus.

From what has surfaced so far, the tablet appears to follow Oppo’s current design language, featuring a sleek metal unibody construction. It is also said to sport a clean, minimalist look with a slightly raised, pill-shaped camera island on the back side. In terms of colours, the tablet is reportedly available in multiple colour options, including dark grey, purple, and cyan, with early footage showcasing the purple variant.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Oppo Pad Mini is expected to feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with noticeably slim bezels on all sides.
On the hardware front, the tablet is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and as much as 512GB of storage. It is also expected to support 67W fast charging, although details regarding the battery capacity remain unclear.
A few days ago, the specifications of the Pad 5 Pro were also tipped. The tablet is expected to feature a large 13.2-inch display. Under the hood, it could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The Pad 5 Pro is also rumoured to pack a massive 11,905mAh battery, with the typical capacity said to be around 13,000mAh. It is likely to support 67W fast charging as well. For photography, the tablet is expected to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front sensor.
