The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the much-awaited UPPCS 2024 final result, bringing relief and excitement to thousands of aspirants. The announcement marks the culmination of a long and competitive selection process.
Neha Panchal emerged as the topper, while Ananya Trivedi secured second rank and Abhay Pratap Singh stood third. One of the key highlights of this year’s result is the strong performance of female candidates. Six women have found a place in the Top 10, underlining their growing dominance in the prestigious state civil service examination.
Although the Commission has not released details about the hometowns of the toppers, the result has sparked excitement among aspirants, especially in Prayagraj and the Purvanchal region.
WOMEN CANDIDATES DOMINATE TOP 10 MERIT LIST
A standout feature of this year’s result is the remarkable presence of women on the merit list. With six female candidates securing positions in the Top 10, the trend reflects their consistent rise in one of the toughest competitive examinations in the state.
A total of 932 candidates have been recommended for appointment this year. The selected candidates will fill key posts, including 37 Deputy Collectors (SDM), 17 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP), and 196 Assistant Commissioners in the Commercial Tax department.
FROM PRELIMS TO FINAL MERIT
The final result comes after a lengthy selection process that began with 5.76 lakh candidates appearing for the preliminary examination. In the mains stage, 15,066 candidates qualified, out of which 13,776 appeared for the exam conducted between June 29 and July 2, 2025. A total of 2,719 candidates were shortlisted for interviews, with 2,698 appearing before the panel.
The selection process also witnessed unrest earlier, when aspirants protested in Prayagraj over proposed changes in the examination pattern in November 2024. Following the demonstrations, the Commission decided to continue with the previous exam structure.
Some posts, including Management Officer and Administrator roles, remained vacant due to the unavailability of suitable candidates. Despite this, the final list of 932 selected candidates marks the culmination of a rigorous and highly competitive examination cycle.
