OnePlus Nord 6 price in India leaked ahead of April 7 launch event

The buzz around the upcoming OnePlus Nord 6 is getting stronger as its launch date gets closer. While OnePlus has already confirmed that the phone will debut in India on April 7, it has kept key details like price and specifications under wraps. However, as is often the case, leaks have started filling in the gaps and they paint a fairly interesting picture of what buyers can expect this time. Here are all the details regarding the upcoming OnePlus Nord 6 smartphone.

OnePlus Nord 6 price in India leaked ahead of April 7 launch event

According to tipster Debayan Roy, the OnePlus Nord 6 will be priced above Rs 35,000 in India. While the exact starting price hasn’t been revealed yet, this gives a rough idea that the phone will likely sit in the sub-Rs 40,000 segment. That is a noticeable jump compared to previous Nord models, but it may not come as a complete surprise given the kind of upgrades being talked about.

To put things into perspective, the OnePlus Nord 5 launched at Rs 31,999, while the OnePlus Nord 4 and OnePlus Nord 3 were priced at Rs 29,999 and Rs 33,999, respectively. OnePlus hasn’t followed a fixed pricing pattern with the Nord series, so predicting the exact price has always been tricky. But with rising component costs and more powerful hardware, the Nord 6 is unlikely to return to the Rs 30,000 range.

OnePlus Nord 6: Full specs leaked

What makes this potential price hike easier to digest is the hardware OnePlus is reportedly packing into the Nord 6. The company has already confirmed that the device will feature a massive 9,000mAh battery, something rarely seen in its price segment. It is likely to be the key selling point of the phone because who doesn’t want a phone that can stay for as long as possible.

On the performance side, OnePlus has teased the presence of a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The company claims that the device can handle high-intensity games at up to 165fps, which also hints at a 165Hz display. If we go by leaks, the upcoming OnePlus phone is said to offer a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED panel with high brightness and advanced dimming support.

Interestingly, the Nord 6 is also said to feature what OnePlus calls a “Tri-Chip” architecture. Alongside the main processor, there could be additional chips focused on improving touch response and boosting Wi-Fi connectivity in weaker signal conditions. This approach is similar to what the brand introduced with its recent flagship devices like the OnePlus 15.

Camera details suggest a balanced setup. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the phone could include a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with OIS, paired with a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. For selfies, a 16-megapixel front camera is likely. The design also appears to take cues from higher-end OnePlus models, featuring a square camera module with multiple cutouts, one of which could house an IR sensor.

The Nord 6 is also said to have support for LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, Wi-Fi 7, and an IP rating for dust and water resistance. There is also mention of 80W fast charging and even reverse wired charging, adding to its overall appeal. At this point, the OnePlus Nord 6 looks like a device that is trying to push the boundaries of what the Nord lineup typically offers.

All eyes are now on April 7, when OnePlus will officially launch the Nord 6 and confirm whether these leaks hold true. If you are waiting for this phone to arrive, you can stay tuned to India Today Tech for all the updates.
