Vivo V70 FE to launch in India on April 2 with 200-megapixel camera, 6.83-inch display

Vivo has announced the launch date of its upcoming smartphone — the Vivo V70 — scheduled for April 2. This will mark the third addition to the V70 lineup. The device was already introduced in Indonesia earlier this month and is now set to arrive in the Indian market. The company has also gone live with a dedicated microsite, revealing the smartphone’s design, key specifications and colours. Additionally, Vivo recently teased the device on Amazon, confirming its availability on the e-commerce platform.

Vivo V70 FE specs, colours and features

The Vivo V70 FE features a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,900 nits peak brightness level.

For photography, the smartphone is headline by a 200-megapixel main camera paired by a 8-mepapixel ultra wide camera. On the front, the V70 FE carries a 50-megapixel punch hole camera.

In terms of battery, the V70 FE is equipped with a 7,000mAh unit that supports 90W wired fast charging. The company claims the device can reach a full charge in around 60 minutes. It has also confirmed that the smartphone will ship with OriginOS 6, based on Android 16. The handset comes with six years of security updates.

Vivo has confirmed that the upcoming V70 FE will feature symmetrical dual speakers with support for the company’s Gaming HyperSense Audio technology. The handset also comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with support for underwater photography. According to the company, the device can withstand immersion in up to 1.5 metres of water for as long as 120 minutes, and is built to handle up to 48 hours of rain exposure.

Vivo claims that the V70 features a Private Space mode, which creates a secure, encrypted area on the device for storing sensitive files, photos, and apps. It promises to keep personal data separate and protected, accessible only through secure authentication.

Notably, the company has yet to reveal the processor. However, the Indonesian variant of the V70 FE is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, so we can expect the same for India.

The Vivo V70 FE is expected to be offered in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB configurations, with pricing likely to remain under Rs. 35,000. The base variant could start at around Rs. 30,000, although this price may include applicable bank offers.

The smartphone will be available via Amazon in two colourways: Monsoon Blue and Northern Lights Purple.
