Samsung launches Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 in India with 120Hz display, 5,000mAh battery: Price, availability

Samsung has launched two new smartphones in India, the Samsung Galaxy A57 and the Samsung Galaxy A37. The newly introduced devices join the company’s A-series lineup and succeed last year’s Samsung Galaxy A56 and Samsung Galaxy A36, which were launched in March.

The new smartphones bring upgraded camera hardware, an improved image signal processor, a 120Hz display, a 5,000mAh battery, and several other upgrades. The Galaxy A57 is available in two variants, while the Galaxy A56 was previously offered in three. Meanwhile, buyers can still get the option to choose from three variants of the Galaxy A37.

Samsung Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 prices in India are still awaited while the company has confirmed that they will be available in the country starting April 10. In terms of colours, the Galaxy A57 5G comes in Awesome Navy, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac. The Galaxy A37 5G, on the other hand, is available in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, and Awesome Graygreen.

The Galaxy A57 is powered by the Exynos 1680 chipset, while the Galaxy A37 runs on the Exynos 1480 chipset. Both smartphones offer up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. They run One UI 8.5 based on Android 16. Samsung has also committed up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates for these devices.

Both smartphones feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster support. The devices also come with an IP68 rating, which provides resistance against water and dust.

For photography, both phones offer a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera and a 5MP macro camera. However, the ultra-wide camera differs between the two models. The Galaxy A57 includes a 12MP ultra-wide camera whereas the Galaxy A37 comes with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies and video calls, both smartphones feature a 12MP front camera.
