Mark Zuckerberg will pay you now up to Rs 2.7 lakh to post on Facebook if you are Insta or YouTube celebrity

Meta wants you to post on Facebook. The Mark Zuckerberg-led firm has announced that it will pay big creators TikTok and YouTube, and even its own platform Instagram, to join and be active on Facebook. This announcement comes after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg accepted that creators usually preferred rival platforms over Facebook.

The programme is called Creator Fast Track. As per the company, influencers and creators can earn up to $3,000 (roughly Rs 2,78,000) per month. Here is how it works.

How much will Meta pay for creators on Facebook?

According to the Meta website, anyone with at least 20,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube can join the programme. The minimum payment starts at $100 (roughly Rs 9,300).

But bigger creators earn more. If you have at least 100,000 followers, you will receive $1,000 (roughly Rs 92,000) a month. Those with over one million followers will earn $3,000 monthly.

But it is not as simple as just creating a Facebook account. You will need to post regularly on the platform. As per the company, the influencer must post at least 15 original reels on Facebook within 30 days, spread over at least 10 different days.

However, this money won’t be endless. Meta will only pay you for three months. Though, after the three-month period ends, you will continue to have access to Facebook’s content monetisation programme. The company also claims that it will boost your reach till you find a strong audience.

Why is Meta paying creators to join Facebook?

The Mark Zuckerberg-led firm seems to be wanting to lure more big stars to Facebook, as influencers have usually stuck to the likes of Instagram and TikTok.

In March 2025, Mark Zuckerberg accepted that influencers and creators did not consider Facebook as their go-to-platform. He said on The Colin and Samir Show, “I just don’t think that a lot of creators today think about Facebook as the primary place they can go. But that itself actually creates this huge arbitrage opportunity,”

Meta claims that the Creator Fast Track programme is designed to help creators join Facebook and get good initial growth. Facebook Creators VP, Yair Livne, told CNBC, “We have heard from established creators on other platforms that it can be hard or intimidating to get started.”

The company says that Facebook paid nearly $3 billion to creators in 2025, a 35 per cent increase from the previous year. 60 per cent of these payments were directed towards reels.

Meta has also launched a new qualified-views metric for creators. This will allow creators to see the number of views actually eligible for monetisation. A view may not qualify for various reasons, such as a user only watching it for one second.

The company has also announced that it is shutting down its metaverse platform, Horizon Worlds, after incurring over $80 billion in losses. Meta is also said to be planning to lay off over 15,000 workers amid mounting AI costs.
