Beats and Nike have joined forces for their first-ever collaboration, launching the Powerbeats Pro 2 Nike Special Edition in India. The earbuds come loaded with impressive features, including heart rate tracking, active noise cancellation (ANC), and an IPX4 rating. The earbuds are priced at Rs 29,900 and will be available in India through Apple’s official website starting March 20.
Powerbeats Pro 2 specs and features
The Powerbeats Pro 2 comes with active noise cancellation (ANC) with adaptive noise control and transparency mode. The earbuds have the signature secure-fit earhooks and come with an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance, making them suitable for workouts and outdoor use.
Powering the device is Apple’s H2 chip. The earbuds also feature three microphones, optical sensors for in-ear detection, and motion sensors to support a range of smart functions.
The earbuds also feature built-in heart rate monitoring, allowing users to track their fitness data in real time and seamlessly sync it with apps like the Fitness app and Nike Run Club.
The earbuds feature Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and are compatible with both Android and iOS platforms. They also support spatial audio with dynamic head tracking for an immersive listening experience. Apple users get access to a rich suite of features, including instant pairing, automatic device switching, Audio Sharing, hands-free Siri, and Find My support, while Android users can enjoy similar controls and functionality through the dedicated Beats app.
For battery performance, the earbuds are said to offer up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, extending to as much as 45 hours with the charging case. They also support fast charging, delivering around 90 minutes of playback with just a five-minute charge. The case is compatible with both Qi wireless charging and USB Type-C charging.
Design-wise, the special edition introduces dual branding, featuring the Beats “b” logo on the left side of the earbud and the iconic Nike Swoosh on the right side. It comes in a Volt and matte black finish, while the charging case carries a Volt splatter design and “JUST DO IT” branding inside.
