Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max prices leaked online hours ahead of India launch

Poco is gearing up to launch its X8 Pro series today at 5:30 PM. The Xiaomi spin-off has already teased key specifications and features of the devices on a dedicated microsite on Flipkart — with pricing being the only detail yet to be revealed. However, thanks to a fresh leak, the pricing details have now surfaced online ahead of the official launch.

The Poco X8 Pro series could comprise three devices: The Poco X8 Pro, the Poco X8 Pro Max and the Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition.

Poco X8 Pro series expected price

Tipster Paras Guglani, who goes by the handle @passionategkeez on X (formerly Twitter), revealed that the Poco X8 Pro is expected to start at Rs 33,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model may be priced at Rs 37,999.

The Poco X8 Pro Max is tipped to start at Rs 41,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, with the higher 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant coming in at Rs 45,999.

As for the Poco X8 Pro Iron Man Edition, the tipster suggests it could be priced at Rs 43,999, though launch offers may bring it down to Rs 40,999. Additionally, a Rs 3,000 bank discount is said to be on the table for all models at launch.

It is worth noting that compared to last year’s Poco X7 Pro, which started at Rs 26,999, the X8 Pro series represents a notable price jump — likely driven by rising component costs.

Poco X8 Pro series specifications and features

Upcoming smartphones in the Poco X8 Pro series are built with gaming in mind, with the company promising zero lag and up to 120 FPS gameplay.

Battery life stands out as one of the key strengths of the lineup. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is equipped with a whopping 9,000mAh battery, which the company says can last more than three days on moderate use, deliver up to 30 hours of online video playback, or stretch to 18 days on standby. The device has also received TV certification for six-year battery durability.

The Poco X8 Pro 5G, while more compact, is no less impressive on the battery front. It houses a 6,500mAh cell that the brand claims can offer more than two days of backup under moderate usage, 18 hours of video streaming, or up to 12 days on standby. It carries a TV certification for five-year battery durability.

Both smartphones support 100W wired fast charging with PPS charging, along with 27W reverse wired charging. In terms of speed, the Pro Max can reportedly charge enough for a full day’s use in just 10 minutes, while the standard Pro variant achieves the same in around 16 minutes.

Under the hood, the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is driven by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, while the Poco X8 Pro 5G runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC. The company claims the two devices scored over 31,00,000 and 23,00,000 points respectively on the AnTuTu benchmark.

On the thermal management front, the Poco X8 Pro 5G features a 5,300 sq mm vapour chamber paired with an 11,000 sq mm graphite layer. The Pro Max ups the ante with a larger 5,800 sq mm heat dissipation area, also supported by a graphite layer for improved temperature control during intensive use.
