Link-up buzz with Thalapathy Vijay fades as Trisha Krishnan’s Kanchipuram saree takes centre stage

In a moment when celebrity headlines are dominated by rumours linking Trisha Krishnan and Thalapathy Vijay, the ‘96’ actress reminded everyone that the real spotlight belongs to her timeless style. She effortlessly silenced the gossip with her heritage-inspired drape, delivering a masterclass in polished South Indian elegance. How did she do it? Let’s take a closer look.

Trisha recently arrived in Mumbai to attend the wedding reception of celebrity stylist Eka Lakhani and producer Ravi Bhagchandika. For the reception, she chose a stunning purple-hued Kanchipuram silk drape which featured a broad gold border with intricate zari work, woven all across the fabric.

She neatly arranged the pleats to the front and allowed her pallu to flow down gracefully all over her shoulders. Matching the look with a purple blouse that featured elbow-length sleeves and a U-shaped neckline, Trisha gave it an elegant spin but soon amplified the look with delicate temple-style jewellery.

She chose a stunning set of antique gold temple-style jewellery, which elegantly captured the true essence of South India’s rich culture.

She wore a stunning long Lakshmi haram with a heavy choker that featured motifs of the goddess Lakshmi, delicate flowers, and stately peacocks.

Next, she matched it with a stack of gold bangles and traditional jhumka-style earrings, with a statement ring on her left hand. All the gold detailing came along with intricate, embellished stones like emeralds, white stones, rubies, and more.

Known for her subtle signature styling, Trisha carried the same philosophy and opted for an illuminating base with defined eyebrows, soft-blushed cheeks, muted eyeshadow, and pink-toned lipstick. She left her hair loose in soft curls, which subtly cascaded over her shoulders.

Trisha’s overall look felt quite rich in heritage, with a hint of effortless modesty. With intricate temple-style jewellery, a glossy silk texture, and quiet makeup notes, she didn’t compete for attention but subtly commanded it. Her fashion choice is a reminder that no Western trend can ever outshine the allure of heritage styling, especially when it is worn with the right intent.
