Diljit Dosanjh’s Main Vaapas Aaunga teaser in theatres with Dhurandhar 2?

Director Imtiaz Ali released the teaser of his upcoming romantic-drama, Main Vaapas Aaunga, featuring actors Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari Wagh, Agastya Nanda and Naseeruddin Shah on March 13, 2026. The director has now made yet another announcement related to the film.

Imtiaz, on his Instagram story, wrote, “Inspired by your response to the film teaser, we are planning to screen the teaser in theatres from later this week! Thanks to all.” Along with this, the ace filmmaker tagged Aditya Dhar Films and Ranveer Singh and extended “Best wishes to team Dhurandhar,” hinting that the teaser of Main Vaapas Aaunga might get attached to Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Main Vaapas Aaunga is beyond conventional romance

The teaser for Main Vaapas Aaunga presents a narrative that blends a personal story with a grand execution. Featuring vocals by Diljit Dosanjh, the plot extends beyond a boy and a girl romance to touch upon the emotional landscape of a country.

About Dhurandhar: The Revenge

Led by Ranveer Singh, the cast of Dhurandhar: The Revenge features actors R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. Fans can also look forward to a cameo from Akshaye Khanna, who played the villainous Rehman Dakait in the original film.

In the film’s trailer, Ranveer returns with ferocious intensity in dual avatars – Jaskirat Singh Rangi and Hamza Ali Mazari, and delivers a chilling dialogue, “Pakistan ka mustakbil ab Hindustan tay karega” (India will write Pakistan’s future).

The trailer shows glimpses of Jaskirat Singh Rangi’s’s backstory and the circumstances that shaped the man who would eventually become Hamza Ali Mazari. The narrative hints that the character’s journey is deeply rooted in loss, rage and patriotism.

The espionage-thriller is set for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026, strategically timed to coincide with Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, marking a calculated pan-India expansion driven by the franchise’s massive demand across South India.
